If you are experiencing jaw discomfort, headaches, clicking, or jaw tension, our team can assess your symptoms and help determine whether they may be related to TMJ/TMD concerns. We can also guide you on appropriate next steps and referrals where required.
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is the hinge connecting your jaw to your skull.
TMD occurs when this joint or the surrounding muscles become strained or inflamed.
Because the joint moves whenever you talk, chew or yawn, small problems can quickly become daily discomfort.
You may benefit from an assessment if you notice:
Jaw pain or tightness
Clicking or popping sounds
Morning headaches
Teeth grinding or clenching
Ear pressure without infection
Locked jaw
Facial muscle fatigue
Neck and shoulder tension
Many headaches actually begin in the jaw muscles.
